A Little Bit of then...and some Now

I truly love all my dogs, but Cricket and I have worked so much and so hard together from day one and that really has really made us such great friends-there is something about the bond you get when you work that much with any creature. I can not say enough about this little girl. So anyway.....this is our favorite recall game which was on the agenda for our ecourse yesterday. I had to throw super special treats so Cricket would go away from me.

The only thing I regret is that Cricket is about a year and a half old, dogs just do not live long enough and I am having so much fun with her that it makes me sad that a year and a half of our time has flown-it has gone so fast. I would like to be on this journey with her forever. How Corny is that? It might be Corny but Cricket has me wrapped around her paw-she keeps me smiling and laughing no matter what else is going on. How can you not love a dog who can do that?

You can see the happiness in her when she's working with you!
There are always some dogs that just capture our heart more than others, and Cricket is one of those dogs to you :)

Cricket is brilliant in the video! Thanks for showing this game!

I can totally relate to everything you say about your relationship with Cricket! It's not corny at all. I feel the same way about Ricky and I can almost panic when I think of the fact that he is already 4 years old. It's silly but I would like to get another dog but have a hard time thinking about how I would have to give up some of the time I spend with Ricky!

Loved the video. You and Cricket make such an awesome team. Got me a little teared up because I feel the same way about Marge and she's going to be FOUR this June. Where the heck did the time go???

They never live long enough. I always think how sad it is that my dog is alreay [fill in number here]. It didn't really seem real to me that they wouldn't always be here until I lost one. I guess since I'm still getting over that it's hard to think that I could ever lose another one.

I don't think that is corny at all. I tear up with just the thought of something happening to Sagira. Sagira is a lot like your Cricket, she was the first dog we ever trained and have just built a special bond with her. Okay...going to go before the tears roll.

I know just how you feel. I keep thinking Miley is going to get old before I figure out how to run her. She is the coolest dog ever and I feel like I will never have another dog like her. Now I wish I hadnt had her fixed and I could have tried to have a puppy out of her. I know, very silly. Maybe even stupid. Put when she sets up at the start line and gets that look, I just think man I love this dog.

Cricket cool too!! LOL
